The small town of Phelps, located in northern Wisconsin, has a huge amount of valuable history buried within it. It is our goal to display the pictures, tell the stories and preserve our past in honor of the history that has built our thriving community.
From the 1800s to the 1950s, Hackley/Phelps, Wisconsin, was one of the largest logging saw mills in the nation. Along with the lumber mill, we had and still have many heroes throughout the ages, beautiful old resorts, homes, great fishing stories and families that have been here since the beginning.
