Geology Walk, Trees For Tomorrow Outdoor Adventures

Take a walk with professional geologist Michael Porter and experienced local naturalist/forester Joe Panci. While Mike explains the rocks below our feet and the glacial formation of this northern forest, Joe will be there to help us connect our region’s geologic history with an under­ standing of how the forests became what they are today. From glacial landscapes to soil types to dominant tree species, we’ll touch on it all!
Thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Aylward Family and a partnership between TFT and Tara Lila LLC, this program is FREE. However, space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Participants will meet at TFT before caravaning to Tara Lila. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an attending adult. The hike will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours through 1-2 miles of occasionally unlevel terrain.
