Vilas County’s ATV/UTV trail system—including all-state funded trails and routes—will close for the 2023 season at midnight Tuesday, October 31.
Closing the trails now gives local ATV/UTV clubs time to return trails to pre-season conditions before the shared trails are turned over to snowmobile clubs for maintenance in the winter. Most of Vilas County’s ATV/UTV trails are shared-use trails that are part of the county’s snowmobile trail system.
