Easy family riding – Heart of Vilas County Paved Bike Trail System

One of the state’s premier paved bike trails traces more than 40 miles of the Northwoods in Vilas County. The Heart of Vilas County Paved Bike Trail System connects Manitowish Waters with Boulder Junction, Sayner-Star Lake and St. Germain. The trail is perfect for families. The trail is smooth, you can keep the kids away from busy highways and the trail passes near ice cream shops!

Thrill-seeking mountain biking – WinMan Trails

In between Winchester and Manitowish Waters, you’ll find a Northwoods mountain biking treasure. The WinMan Trails are located on more than 1,300 acres of private and public land and offer miles of rolling single track. Come back in the winter for fantastic cross-country skiing and fat biking.

Scenic road touring – Eagle River-Land O’ Lakes Bike Route

A scenic road biking route connects Land O’ Lakes with Eagle River. From the north, follow County Highway S south from the intersection of County Highway B. You’ll travel through beautiful forested country. The total length of the route is 22 miles.
