A Winding Route through Northwest Vilas County

For a route that explores some beautiful forest, start in Manitowish Waters and take U.S. Highway 51 north one mile to County Highway W. Turn right on W and head through downtown Manitowish Waters, Winchester and Presque Isle to County Highway P.  Turn right on P and enjoy a winding 7-mile drive to County Highway K. Turn right on K (North Lakeland School will be on your right) and follow the road back to County Highway W.  Turn left on W and head back to downtown Manitowish Waters and U.S. 51.
