The Vilas County snowmobile trail system, including all state-funded and club-funded trails and routes, will reopen at 8am on Saturday, March 14.
The 11 Vilas County Snowmobile Alliance Clubs have certified that the county’s snowmobile trails are safe to reopen. Please note that some trails may be closed or rerouted due to water issues and some trails may not be groomed.
Please thank the local snowmobile clubs for their efforts in preparing the trails to reopen and please ride safe—slow down, drinking and snowmobiling don’t mix, and off-trail riding is trespassing.
