In the heart of Presque Isle in northern Vilas County, visitors will find friendliness, small-town charm, and a valuable community asset.

The Presque Isle Community Library, formerly known as the Irma Stein Memorial Library, has been serving residents’ informational and educational needs for decades. Initially started with a small collection of donated books in Presque Isle’s old schoolhouse, the library moved to its new location in conjunction with the construction of Presque Isle’s Community Center in 1994. An expansion was completed in 2007, more than doubling the library’s space.

Today, the library offers helpful services for residents and visitors alike, from free internet access and a large selection of new books and DVDs to spaces for art from local creators and adult enrichment offerings like yoga classes.
